Who is Glen Whitley? A Leader Who Makes a Difference

Glen Whitley, 55, was born in Grand Prairie, Texas and graduated from Grand Prairie High School
in 1971. He earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of
Texas at Arlington in 1976. Glen began his career as an accountant at Ernst & Ernst. He left that
national accounting firm to join a local firm where he coordinated the accounting, tax and practice
management services offered to medical, dental and other professional clients. In 1983, he
co-founded the Whitley Penn accounting firm, which now has 160 employees and offices in Fort
Worth and Dallas.

Glen was elected to the Tarrant County Commissioners Court in 1996. In 2006, Glen was elected
countywide to the chief executive post of Tarrant County Judge.

As a county commissioner, Glen represented Tarrant County's northeast precinct, an urban and
suburban mix that takes in a portion of the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.  In that decade, Glen stepped
forward to grasp the mantle of leadership within the county and the North Texas region.

Now, as county judge, Glen presides over a county with 1.7 million residents in the heart of a
metropolitan center holding more than 6 million people. Glen's role and influence as a regional and
