Vice President.  A reliable and trusted voice for 11 years, Glen
continues to accept extensive responsibilities and obligations in
NACo.  He understands the importance of serving the needs of
rural and urban counties with diverse populations and geographies.

Key Platform Points

•  Raise awareness of what county government does.
  Our citizens need to know that we are the front door for many government
  services that folks receive.
  

• Restore the partnership with our federal and state legislators.
  We need to work more closely with lawmakers to make favorable things
  happen for our common voters/taxpayers instead of fighting them over unfunded mandates.

• Build Sustainable Communities.
  We can use green building initiatives, improve air quality, protect and conserve water, reduce energy use and shrink carbon emissions to reduce global warning.

Keep NACo a strong resource for local elected officials.

 

Protect funding for CDBG/PILT/CHIP

 

Improve access to health care and work with federal and state officials to protect Medicare, Medicaid and other programs to help the medically underserved population.

 

Unite rural and urban interests to make sure NACo speaks for all people and all regions of our nation.
